Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of dangerous driving which occurred on the A590 westbound near Greenodd on Monday 16 August at around 4:45pm
A dark-coloured Range Rover is reported to have been travelling at speed and erratically, causing vehicles coming the other way to take evasive action when it kept crossing the central white lines.
A 30-year-old man, from Ulverston, was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a motor vehicle while above alcohol level limit, assault by beating, attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of common assault on an emergency worker. He has been released on police bail.
Officers are asking for anyone who witnessed this driving, or who has dashcam footage, to get in touch.
