At 12:18 on 27th August 2022, three fire engines attended an incident on Snipe Gill Marton. The road traffic collision involved an overturned quad bike. Firefighters assisted ambulance with two casualties, one transferred into an air ambulance and conveyed to Manchester Royal Infirmary and the second transferred to Furness General Hospital by road. Crews were detained approximately one hour.
