At 10:47 hours on Monday the 12th of April 2021, three fire engines attended an incident involving a person stuck in Mud on Brooklea in Bardsea. One casualty was rescued from quicksand by both fire service and hm coastguard personnel. Fire service remained on scene for approximately fifty minutes.
