At 00:23 hours on Thursday 16 June 2022, six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended an incident at Sandscale Park, Barrow-in-Furness. The fire involved mixed refuse in an open building. Firefighters used five main jets, four breathing apparatus and two ground monitors. Crews are still in attendance.
