At 16:29 on 26th August 2022, two fire engines attended an incident on Central Drive, Walney. The fire involved a sofa within a derelict property. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and breaking in tools. Crews were detained for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
