Officers who engaged in proactive patrols in Barrow town centre yesterday (Wednesday 6 December) made two arrests and seized a quantity of Class A and B drugs, and cash.
A teenage boy, 16, was stopped and searched in the area of Rawlinson Street at around 3pm and a quantity of cash was recovered, leading to his arrest.
Immediately following his arrest, officers conducted a search of his nearby home where they recovered around ten snaplock bags of suspected cocaine, a quantity of cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia.
Another male, aged 18, was arrested within the property and more cash was seized from his person.
Both males were interviewed and have since been released with bail conditions.
