Police are investigating an assault which occurred in Barrow.

The incident occurred on 1 January at 1am on Roose Road.

The victim is a 24-year-old man from Barrow, who believes he has been targeted due to his disability. He suffered facial injuries as a result of the assault.

A witness stated that there were three males in the area, one of which was the suspect who assaulted the victim. The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 6ft 1, of stocky build, wearing white Nike Air Force trainers and a black bobble hat.
