Officers investigating an incident where a man aged 19 was assaulted in Barrow are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

In the early hours of Tuesday 25th July the man was assaulted by a group of men – first in Park Avenue in Barrow and then at the junction of Cecil Street and Leicester Street in Barrow.

The victim of the assault was taken to A&E to be checked over but released the same day.

Officers subsequently arrested three men aged 18, 19 and 27 on suspicion of Assault ABH. All were subsequently released on police bail.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone with information which may assist this investigation.
