The Friends of Dalton Castle are very sorry to announce that the Castle will not be opening to the public until further notice.
This is a decision taken by the National Trust, and not the Friends, who are disappointed with this sudden and unexpected turn of events, especially considering the success that the group has achieved in increasing visitors numbers to the Castle over the past couple of years.
On Tuesday 14th May at the AGM of the Friends, National Trust representatives will be present to explain further.
If anyone wishes to attend the AGM, which is being held in the castle at 7.30, you would be welcome to join us and if you would like to become a member of the Friends the annual fee is just £3 per year, which can be paid during the AGM.
