Celebrate the life of Hairy Biker, Dave Myers in his home town of Barrow in Furness on Saturday 8th June 2024.

Barrow will become the destination of a remembrance procession made up of thousands of motorcycles who will be departing London in the morning, being joined by countless more along the route, before arriving in Barrow town centre late afternoon.  Celebrations will centre around Barrow Town Hall, with a service of remembrance and free family entertainment.

The Dave Day event is being held in Barrow-in-Furness on June 8th, 2024, to celebrate the life of Dave Myers, the popular TV chef and one of the Hairy Bikers. This tribute includes a remembrance procession of thousands of motorcycles starting in London and culminating in Barrow. The bikers will be joined by many more along the route, arriving in Barrow town centre in the late afternoon. Dave Myers was once a presenter on Barrow’s radio station Abbey FM (closed since 2009). CANDOFM the current Barrow-in-Furness community radio station is delighted and proud to be part of the remembrance event. CANDOFM is planning to play requests from fans of Dave Myers at the remembrance event and all through the day on the community station.
