Congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the NHS

Barrow Town councillors who work locally in the NHS today voiced their congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the organisation.

Walney North councillor Kay Hyland said, ” As a radiographer and a patient, I would like to congratulate the NHS on it’s 75th anniversary. The difference it has made to the nation’s health since it’s inception is immeasurable. With adequate funding I have hopes it will continue to do so for the long term future.”

Representing Central,  Councillor Dani Petrova said, ” I am very proud to work for the NHS in the beautiful town of Barrow. Working in A and E with the most amazing team is a great privilege and I am so happy to be able to make a difference in peoples’ lives.”

From tonight, Barrow Town Hall will shine bright blue for five nights in recognition of the NHS’ incredible efforts to provide world leading healthcare, free at the point of use, for the last three quarters of a century.
