Appeal for witnesses following collision on the M6 A684 junction

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision on the A684 junction with the M6 at 2:40pm today (July 28).

 

The collision involved a grey Audi A3 and a Kawasaki motorcycle. Sadly, the pillion rider on the motorcycle died at scene.

 

The rider of the motorcycle was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

 

The occupants of the Audi were taken to hospital to be checked over.

 

The road remains closed whilst a forensic collision investigation is carried out.

 

Anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC2629 Jake Chaplow or Sgt 1929 Martin Bainbridge.
