Three arrested following fire in Barrow

Three boys have been arrested earlier today as part of a joint investigation between Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue service, into a fire on Roose Road, Barrow.

Police were alerted to a fire shortly before 8pm on 3 May at Roose Library.

The three boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson.

All three remain in custody for questioning.

The fire has caused significant damage to the building and its contents including the library books.
