Tesco Barrow Encourages Community to Wear A Hat for Brain Tumour Awareness

Tesco’s Barrow store is rallying the local community to participate in Wear A Hat Day, an annual event organised by Brain Tumour Research to raise funds and awareness for brain tumour patients and their families.

Every March, as Brain Tumour Awareness Month comes to a close, people from all walks of life are encouraged to don their favorite hats and hold hat-themed events to support the cause. Brain tumours claim more lives of children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, making this initiative crucial for finding a cure.

The Barrow store is leading by example, with staff members wearing donated hats throughout the day. Brisbane Park Infant School has also shown its support by creating a window display featuring various hats.

Tracy Wells, a local resident, has generously donated hats for Tesco staff to wear, further emphasizing the community’s involvement.

Customers are invited to join the fun by taking selfies while shopping at the Barrow store and tagging “Barrow Community” on Facebook. This collective effort aims to raise vital funds and awareness for Brain Tumour Research’s ongoing mission.
