A group of mental health champions at BAE Systems reworded the lyrics to the band aid song, Do they know its Christmas? To raise awareness about mental health and acknowledge that it might not be the most wonderful time of the year for everyone, for so many reasons.

It can feel an overwhelming time and we can feel pressure to feel a certain way, which can make those struggling feel worse. Give yourself permission to feel as you feel and be gentle with yourself. Which is why we wanted to encourage people to show kindness and compassion to themselves and others, to help others feel seen, understood and cared for. We also wanted to encourage people to reach out for help, to speak to someone if they are struggling and to be understanding to others.
