On this week’s Sportzone show is Emma Armstrong player and social media representative for the South Lakes Women Hockey Team based in Ulverston.
Emma tells us about the impact of the Covid situation on the club and following promotion, how they are preparing for the new season in the Northern League Division 2 having not played competitively for 18 months.
New recruits are very welcome to try their hand at Hockey and there is also a junior section for children aged 5 -14 with training sessions commencing this Sunday 12th Sept.
They play their home games on the Astro turf at Ulverston Leisure centre mainly on a Saturday ko 12.30 and everyone in the Furness area is encouraged to go and watch the South Lakes women first home game at the end of September and there is an open invitation to any potential sponsors who may wish to support the club financially.
