Series of motorcycle safety sessions launched

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service has announced a series of sessions to promote the safe use of motorcycles.
As part of the new Cumbria Ride Safe programme, the service is partnering with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), Cumbria Police and BEEP Doctors Cumbria for the sessions that are held at Penrith Fire Station and Ulverston Blue Light Hub.
The sessions will cover advanced riding, first aid, and scene safety at a collision. An RoSPA delegate will then take each of the participants out on a ride to observe their capability and suggest improvements for safer riding.
The sessions will be held on the following dates, all from 10am to 4pm:

  • Sunday, April 28 – Penrith Fire Station
  • Sunday, May 12 – Ulverston Blue Light Hub
  • Sunday, May 19 – Penrith Fire Station
  • Thursday, May 30 – Ulverston Blue Light Hub
