Attention all listeners of Russ at Drivetime! Get ready for news on an exciting and charitable event on 27th March from Paul Ogden from Vision Support Barrow & District.
Paul will be talking about an upcoming event that is sure to get you up and moving for a great cause. Vision Support Barrow & District is hosting a Cross Bay Walk to raise funds for local people with visual impairments. And what better way to do it than by walking across the stunning golden sands of Morecambe Bay?
The walk will be guided by the King Guide to Morecambe Bay, Michael Wilson, so you can be sure that you’re in good hands. The walk starts at The Albion Pub in Arnside at 1:00 pm on March 27th (arrive at 12:30), and finishes at the Lido and Promenade in Grange-Over-Sands.
To join the walk, all you need to do is make a donation to the Vision Support Centre. Adults can book their place for just £15, under 16s for £7.50, and even well-behaved dogs can join in for just £1! The first 15 people to attend will even have access to minibus transport, so don’t wait too long to book your spot.
By participating in this Cross Bay Walk, not only will you get to enjoy a beautiful day out, but you’ll also be supporting local people with visual impairments. So come and be a part of this wonderful cause and join us for a day of fun, exercise, and giving back to the community.
Make sure to tune in to Russ at Drivetime from 4pm on 27th March to hear more from Paul Ogden about this exciting event, and don’t forget to book your place by making a donation to the Vision Support Centre. We’ll see you on the beach!
