At 07:37 on 24th April 2022, two fire engines attended an incident at Newby Bridge, Ulverston. This involved a road traffic collision between two cars. Firefighters made the scene safe, stabilised both vehicles involved and extricated one casualty from a vehicle. Two casualties from the scene were conveyed to hospital by road ambulance. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately sixty minutes.
