Cumbria Police is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on the A590 yesterday morning (2 January) at around 9am.

The collision involved a Jaguar car and a delivery van.

The driver of the Jaguar, a man in his 20s from the Leicestershire area, died following the collision.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

The collision occurred on the A590 near Gilpin Bridge. The road was fully reopen by 6pm on Tuesday.
