No Northern trains will run on 1st and 5th October due to strike action by the ASLEF and RMT unions.

Fire Incidents – Building Fire, Buccleuch Street, Barrow

  At 15:56 on 28th September 2022, two fire engines attended an incident on Buccleuch Street, Barrow-in-Furness. The fire involved a mid terraced commercial property. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a carbon dioxide extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
