On the show today there is another chance to hear Diane Smillie from Dignity in Dementia with her Helpful Hints, for family carers. At this time of year the weather can affect us all, and the poor light levels can be particularly challenging for people living with dementia. This week Di explains about the condition called ‘Sundowning’ – that time of day that can cause people living with dementia to feel more insecure and see things in the shadows. Di explains what causes it and gives tips for how carers can cope.
