Man charged with drug supply offence after stop in Barrow

A man has been charged with drug supply after officers proactively stopped a vehicle on School Street in Barrow last night (28 February).

Officers seized around £1500 of suspected cocaine during the search of the vehicle.

Olgert Sinaj, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.

He is due to appear before South Cumbria Magistrates Court today (29 February).

Another man in his 30s was also arrested and has been release on bail.

The seizure forms part of forms part of Operation Alliance – Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
