Local Appeals – May 23, 2021

Police are investigating two incidents – and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The first is a report of a sexual assault and common assault on a woman, in her twenties, on Monday (May 17) at about 6.30pm in Barrow Park.
The second is a report of a woman being verbally abused and threatened in Emlyn Street on Wednesday (May 19) at about 6pm.
A man, 28, has been arrested in connection with both incidents and bailed pending further investigations.
Anyone with information can call police on 101, referring to incident 160 of May 19.
Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers, completely anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Police are investigating a fire at a shed in the allotments on Ormsgill Lane.
It was reported to the fire service at about 5pm on Friday (May 21). Firefighters extinguished the fire.
Officers are appealing for anybody who saw anyone acting suspiciously or anyone with any information to contact them on 101.
