Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision on the A590, near Backbarrow.
It happened at about 5.50pm on Monday ( July 22 ).
The collision involved a grey Seat Ibiza driven by a man, 20.
It also involved a black Mercedes EQC 400, driven by a man, 45.
The Seat driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance. He was in a stable condition in hospital.
The Mercedes driver received hospital treatment before being discharged.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, saw the cars being driven immediately before – or anyone who may have daschcam footage related to the incident.
