Police are appealing for information and witnesses following an incident where a dog bit a woman.

It happened on Saturday February 24 at about 7pm.

The woman was walking her dog on the beach near Furness Golf Club when a medium-brown dog ran over and attacked her dog.

She split them up but was bitten by the other dog on the arm. She needed hospital treatment.
