Police are investigating a theft of manhole covers from The Promenade, Walney, North Scale end.

On Thursday 7th March 2024 at approximately 4pm, a witness has reported a theft of manhole covers.

Two men were arrested near Levens and subsequently released on bail. Both suspects are in their 30s, from Lancaster and were seen driving a white Citreon van.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen those suspected of being involved at the time of the incident.
