Local Appeal – Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Barrow

Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Barrow.

It happened at the junction of School Street and Ramsden Street in the early hours of Sunday June 30, at about 1.30am.

A man, in his forties, was approached by two men. They were aged in their early twenties and spoke with eastern European accents.

They asked for the man’s phone and wallet.

He did not give them the property.

The victim was then punched, sustaining cuts and bruises to his face.

Officers are appealing for information.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dash cam footage, doorbell footage or CCTV is asked to come forward.
