Local Appeal – Information in relation to an incident in Kendal

Police are appealing for information in relation to an incident in Kendal.

Police were contacted at 6.22 pm on Friday 6th May a white Chevrolet Aveo, crashed into the gates of the Quaker burial ground at the bottom of the Old Sedbergh Road, Kendal.

The occupants of the car were seen to flee through the burial ground.

This car was reported stolen from an address in Kendal and, between 4th and 6th May, it is believed this car had been travelling between Kendal and Windermere.

Following the crash, a 16-year-old male from the Kendal area was arrested on suspicion of:

Theft of a motor vehicle
Driving without a license
Driving without insurance
Burglary

He has since been released under investigation.
