Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred in Barrow.

Police are investigating a report of an assault causing actual bodily harm after a 49-year-old man from Barrow was assaulted in the area of Preston Street by an unknown suspect.

The incident occurred at some point between 11:30pm on Friday 3 November and 3am on Saturday 4 November.

The victim received medical attention for his injuries.

Details of an offender are unknown and police are asking for anyone who may have seen anything or know anything in relation to this incident to contact them.
