Her Majesty, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Event
to be held on Dalton Road Barrow Town Centre on Saturday 4th June. 12pm – 8pm
We are planning a spectacular event to honour the Queen’s long service that we hope will stay in people’s memories for many years to come.
Celebrating community and friendship, the people of Barrow are invited to join a huge street party with 60 picnic benches along Dalton Road. Entertainment runs from 12pm with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem, performed by local choirs, through to the early evening with a Live Stage hosting tribute acts, including Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Robbie Williams, Ed Sheeran and many others from every decade of the Queen’s reign.
The day will be rounded off with local choirs, orchestras and brass bands performing a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ style concert.
There’ll be something for all the family with plenty of art and craft stalls, street entertainers and competitions.
