At 22:33 on the 9th of January 2022, two fire engines attended a commercial building fire at Bouthwood Road, Barrow-in-Furness. The fire involved approximately ten thousand tonnes of refuse and firefighters used two jets, two thermal imaging cameras and on-site fire riser systems to extinguish the fire. Crews remained on the scene for approximately three hours.
