After review, it has been decided that Ward 6 will re-open for visitors as of tomorrow (30 July) afternoon following a norovirus outbreak.

It has been 5 days since the last symptomatic patient and 7 days since the last symptomatic colleague and the final terminal cleans are currently in process.

Please be aware that there will be the following conditions for visitors:

• Strict two visitors per patient at a time
• Hand hygiene on entrance and exit to the Ward.

Once re-opened, colleagues will be able to access the Ward as per normal procedure and will no longer need to go through switchboard to request access.

Relatives and carers of patients on Ward 6 will be updated and informed of the visiting conditions.
