There are currently road closures in place around the Hindpool Road, Barrow area, due to a piece of potential ordnance being located.

The road closure will be in effect on Hindpool Road, from the traffic lights at Cornwallis Street to Morrisons. This includes the slip road from Michaelson Road.

The EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), will be carrying out an assessment on the object.

The road closures will remain in place whilst this action is undertaken. The activity may take a number of hours.

There is no risk to the public.
