Detectives are appealing to identify a key witness as part of an ongoing investigation into an incident of sexual assault that occurred on 14 January.

Officers are looking to identify a taxi driver who picked up three people, one man and two women at the taxi rank on Cavendish Street, Barrow.

The taxi then travelled to Ramsden Street where one of the women exited the taxi before it continued its journey with the two remaining occupants dropping them off in at address in the area of the golf club/Rakesmoor lane.

It is believed this journey took place between 1:50am and 2:25am on 14 January.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection and is on police bail.
