We also had the opportunity to explain to Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP our thoughts on the eligibility of community stations throughout the United Kingdom to become charitable. Many Hospital Radio stations that enjoy status as charities broadcast across areas that go well beyond the confines of hospital grounds and although that in no way devalues their work, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish their offering from that of Community Stations that serve their community and conduct charitable work.

In consideration of this it was very encouraging to see the MP for Barrow in Furness Simon Fell read out this question in the Houses of Parliament today specifically refrencing CANDOFM and the work that we do to support our local community.
