This Saturday there are so many great reasons to visit Barrow with free festive fun throughout the town centre to entertain all the family.
At the bottom of Dalton Road, next to the Furness Railway, you can try your hand at curling on our 10m curling rink. This is completely free, with no previous experience necessary, as our rink will be fully staffed by a team of experts who will give you a taster of what it’s like to take part in this Olympic sport. The curling rink will be open from 10am till 4pm.

Further up Dalton Road, you can visit Cumbria Sewing and Craft Centre for free Christmas workshops for the kids. No booking is required, with participants being able to drop in from

11am onwards.
Finally, at the top end of Dalton Road, outside The Entertainer, we have our toy testing event. This is your chance to get your hands on the top toys of 2022 and see if there is anything you’ve missed off your list to Santa. Running from 10am, there will also be a special guest appearance from JJ from Cocomelon.

JJ will be appearing for 15 minute intervals every hour at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2 and 3pm.

A competition will also be running for one lucky child to win the ultimate toy bundle courtesy of The Entertainer. To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is pickup a free stamp card and get it stamped at each of the 3 event locations. Once complete, pop your name on the card and drop it off at the postbox at The Entertainer. Stamp cards will be available from each of the event locations. There will also be music and entertainment throughout the town centre, adding to the festive atmosphere.

All of these events are FREE, with no booking required, so what better reason to head to Barrow town centre this Saturday, do a bit of Christmas shopping and enjoy a great day out for all the family!
