Cumbria Police – Robbery of Bicycle in Barrow

Police are investigating a reported robbery which occurred on Thursday 20th October around 5:25pm on Grange Crescent, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The report is of a man in his 30’s holding a bike, outside the garages on Grange Crescent when he was approached by a group of five- six males aged mid to late teens and early twenties.

One of the males in the group obtained the bike by force, pulling at the bike and trying to punch the owner.

The of the males who took the bike described as white, around 5’ 9”, he has ginger hair, a pale complexion and is of slim build. He is described as 15-16-years-old but may be older. He was wearing a brown/grey waterproof jacket with dark coloured trainers.

A second male in the group is described as white, around 5’8” of slim build and aged in his early twenties. The male was wearing a plain black woolly hat, a black body warmer with a red long sleeved top underneath. He had dark pants and dark trainers.

The bike is a Giant, illuminous green coloured with black wheels.

Around 10 minutes after the incident the group returned the bike.
