Cumbria Police: Liverpool man jailed for Kendal County Lines Drug Dealing Conspiracy

A second man has been jailed at Carlisle Crown Court as part of a County Lines investigation into the supply of crack cocaine and heroin into Kendal.

The sentencing comes following an investigation by detectives into the “Roy” county line which was active between 2 December 2019 and 15 December 2019.

On the 1st of December, Kieran Kristensen, 23, of Maldon Close, Liverpool was sentenced to 4 years 6 months for conspire to supply a class A controlled drug heroin and Cocaine. 

Michael Taylor, 23 of Lincombe Road, Liverpool was sentenced at an earlier hearing on the 20 October this year to three years imprisonment.

Officers made the first arrest on 12 December 2019 when officers forced entry to a property on Stricklandgate, Kendal and located Taylor hidden in a small broom cupboard. A search of the property was conducted and a17 wraps of heroin and 17 wraps of crack cocaine were located, taylor also had over £1,700 in cash hidden in a sock in his jacket.

Officers made a second arrest on 15 December 2019 at a property on Capper Close, Kendal of Kristensen who had £1,400 on his person, officers located numerous plastic wrappings.

Both wrappings found at the two addresses were descriptively identical.

Large bulk tests were sent regularly from the “Roy’ line number. Analysis carried out on Taylor and Kristensen’s phone showed regular interactions with the Roy Line.

Detective Constable Thomas Pearman said “Taylor and Kristensen played a part in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Kendal as part of the “Roy” county line.

“County lines drug dealing is a blight on the county and significantly contributes to immense suffering to some of the most vulnerable people in society.

“However, we are committed to rooting it out and bringing those involved at all aspects to justice.”
