Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service crews will be hosting car washes over the weekend of Saturday 2 April and Sunday 3 April 2022 in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help raise vital funds for the people of Ukraine.
Teams from the Service will be washing cars and in return, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service ask members of the public to make a donation, however small, to support the humanitarian crisis.
Firefighters will also be offering a tyre safety check, information on fire safety in the home and the opportunity to ask any questions about smoke alarms or fire prevention.
The car washes will be taking place on the following dates and times:
Saturday 2 April:
- Barrow Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
- Bootle Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
- Carlisle East Fire Station – 10:00 – 15:00
- Grange Fire Station – 09:00 – 16:00
- Kendal Rugby Club – 10:00 – 14:00
- Sedbergh Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
- Windermere Booths Car Park – 11:00 – 14:00
- Whitehaven Fire Station – 13:00 – 16:00
- Workington Morrisons Car Park – 10:00 – 13:00
- Ulverston Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
Sunday 3 April:
- Barrow Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
- Appleby Fire Station – 09:00 – 13:00
- Milnthorpe Fire Station – 10:00 – 14:00
Saturday 9 April:
- Maryport Fire Station – 10:00 – 15:00
- Millom Fire Station – 09:00 – 12:30
