• Coffee Mornings return after almost two years of disruption.
• They take place on the second Thursday of every month from February.
• Moved to the Main Hall, offering greater accessibility and space.
• All spaces within The Coro are now available for hire once again.

We’re delighted to announce the return of Coffee Mornings to The Coro after almost two years of disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beginning on 10th February 2022, Coffee Mornings will take place on the second Thursday of every month between 8.30am and 1pm, with all proceeds from the entrance fee, raffle and tombola tickets going to the hosting charity or community group.

In a significant change from pre-pandemic, Coffee Mornings will now be held in The Coro’s Main Hall – a move designed to increase accessibility, create more space, increase potential capacity, and offer charities and community groups the opportunity to team up and co-host if they wish. The Coro will also cover the costs of teas and coffees.

Beth Kennedy, Director of Ulverston Community Enterprises – the organisation that manages The Coro – said: ‘Coffee Mornings are such an integral part of community life here; it was always a priority to bring them back into The Coro as soon as we were able. In time we hope the changes we’ve made will encourage more people to come and support the wonderful charities and groups that host Coffee Mornings, helping raise vital funds for their
work, as well as offering those groups greater flexibility and support in running their event.’

Slots have been booked up fast, with just July 14th, September 8th and November 10th 2022 still available. If you are interested in running a Coffee Morning or hiring any of the spaces in The Coro for your event, you can now submit a venue enquiry form at https://www.thecoro.co.uk/venue-hire
