🚗🎙️ This week’s CandoFM Summer HAF Club welcomed the dynamic duo, the “Coast Thusters” Roy Mowbray and Steve Haslam, along with their adventurous car, as they shared insights about their upcoming quest: the Barrow to Gibraltar banger rally.

Get ready to be inspired by their audacious plan to drive from Barrow to Gibraltar in a £1000 banger, all in support of noble causes. St. Mary’s Hospice, North West Air Ambulance, and Blind Veterans – three incredible organizations close to their hearts, especially as both Roy and Steve have a background in the military.

Their epic route takes them across the length of the UK, through the picturesque landscapes of France and Spain, finally arriving in Gibraltar after 7 days of exhilarating travel. 🌍🚘

Despite the challenges that may arise on their journey, Roy and Steve are fueled by determination and a sense of purpose. Their initial rally plans in 2019 were disrupted by the pandemic, but now, armed with a trusty blue Volvo transformed into ‘Ecto 1’, they’re embracing their new identity as ‘The Coast Thrusters’.
