Barrow’s Wilko store has been named among the budget retailer’s outlets set to close next week.
A list of 52 stores has been released by the company’s administrators that will face the axe after a rescue deal failed.
Barrow’s Wilko will have its final day of trading on Thursday.
Cumbria also has Wilko branches in Cockermouth, Workington, Whitehaven and Carlisle – but none of those are on the list.
However, administrators added it was possible that further store closures may be necessary, depending on talks with remaining potential buyers.
It was announced yesterday that B&M had bought 51 stores for £13m, but that it wouldn’t be revealed which had been saved until November.
