Officers investigating a burglary at an address in Barrow have charged a man who is due to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court today (24 February).
The burglary was reported to have occurred at an address in Gloucester Street in Barrow at around 6pm on 16 February, 2023.
The occupant of the address left the house at 5.45pm and returned to the address 30 minutes later to find his wallet missing and an attempt at a transaction had been made at a Bargain Booze shop on a card in his name.
Officers have subsequently arrested Scott Hornby, 45, of Rawlinson Street in Barrow, in connection with the investigation.
He has been charged with burglary and fraud and is due to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court today.
