Police are investigating a collision in Barrow today ( December 6 ).
The collision happened at the junction of Rawlinson Street and Crellin Street. It was reported at 10.13am
The collision involved a Nissan Micra, driven by a man, in his thirties, and an e-scooter carrying a man in his sixties.
The man on the e-scooter was taken to hospital in Preston with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence.
Closures were put in place as investigations were carried out.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has relevant dashcam or doorbell footage to come forward.
