Appeal for dashcam and witnesses after serious road traffic collision in Barrow

Officers investigating a serious road traffic collision in Barrow late yesterday afternoon (14 Nov) are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam to come forward.

 

At 4.45pm Cumbria Police were contacted by NWAS reporting a collision between a car – a Ford Ka – and a pedestrian.

 

The collision is believed to have occurred shortly after 4.30pm in North Road in Barrow, in the vicinity of Brewers Fayre.

 

The pedestrian – a 61-year-old man from the Barrow area – was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital this morning in a critical condition.

 

The driver of the Ford Ka remained at the scene following the incident and was spoken to by officers investigating the collision. No arrests have been made at this time.

 

The collision remains under investigation and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what occurred. They are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam who suspects they may have recorded anything which could assist officers with their investigation.
