A590 closed near Gilpin Bridge following collision

Emergency services are dealing with a serious road traffic collision which has occurred on the A590. Police were called at 9:01am today (2 January) with a report of a collision near Gilpin Bridge. The road is closed in both directions between the Meathop roundabout and Levens. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
