Joan, along with her daughter Paula, forms the popular Ukes2 duo known for their eclectic mix of music that caters to all tastes.

Joan and Paula joined the CandoFM Radio Team in December 2017 as radio presenters and have been sharing their love for music on their Ukes2 shows ever since. As a mother-daughter team, they share a strong bond that listeners have noted comes across on the airwaves. They love reminiscing about their hometown, Barrow, and the surrounding areas, sharing their memories of fun times and crazy antics they have experienced over the years.

Aside from her passion for music, Joan is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loves spending time with her husband Bernard, who is famous for his love of cake and food in general. Joan also cherishes spending time with her beloved dogs, including Paula’s dog. She enjoys getting together with her children and grandchildren for fun family time, both at home and on day trips, caravan weekend breaks, and holidays, creating memories together to look back on and smile.
