Cumbria Police have charged a man with grievous bodily harm with intent after an incident at an address in Kendal on Monday evening (17 April).

Police were called shortly after 9pm on Monday to a report that a man had been assaulted, sustaining injuries including a knife wound. He was taken to hospital and, although serious, his injuries are not thought to be life changing.

Thomas Footit, 44, of no fixed abode, was arrested and has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

He is due to appear before Barrow Magistrates Court today (19 April).
