Tony retired from Cumbria Fire Service in March 2019 after 30 years based at Barrow Fire Station`s both old and new. He also worked for Lancashire Football Association for the last 15 years covering Barrow and South Lakes, Morecambe and Lancaster as a Football Development Officer along with being an FA Tutor for Level 1 and 2 courses. Along with being Head of Performance at Barrow AFC, overseeing all the youth players at the professional football club. He has been privileged to represent North Walney as a Borough Councillor for the last 20 years and his proudest moment came as representing the town as Mayor for the year 2017/18.
Tony is passionate about Barrow and has a huge passion for music across all genres. Being a presenter for CandoFM really is a dream come true and hopes to play a positive role in helping the Station grow bigger and bigger, and with the quality presenters on the rota this really is an incredibly exciting time moving forward. Tony has become a part time life model and dancer in his quest to keep exploring all the various arts.
Along with playing the drums and learning the ropes as a wannabe singer, music is heavily at the heart of his life. A big Happy Days to all the listeners ……… this is your community station
